Thank you for your interest in volunteering! We love our volunteers and welcome everyone - there is no amount of time or effort too big or too small. Volunteer time is what makes every PTSA event happen, and we're happy you're here.
General volunteers help out when they can, with no planning involved. We send out sign-ups for our big events - Science Fair, Basket Night, and more - so you can grab a shift when it works for your schedule.
Committee members plan an event together and help out on the day of the event.
Committee chairs lead an event - they manage the plan, the budget, and coordinate the committee's efforts.
Volunteering can be as involved or as laid back as you like. Some parents love being in the school during the day - making popcorn or helping at an event. Others prefer committee work, where most of the planning happens on evenings or weekends, with just one big event to be there for. Some committees meet in person, some online, and many do a mix of both.
And if planning isn't your thing at all, no problem: watch the Hawks Happenings newsletter for volunteer sign-ups and pick a shift that fits.
Committees are small groups of volunteers planning one event together - anywhere from 1 to 10 people, depending on the size of the event. Each committee gets a budget and real freedom to shape the event. New members are always welcome: fresh ideas are how our events get better every year.
